Bible
Study at Hamilton County Juvenile Court —20/20
By George Keil
For fourteen years, members of our church have conducted
a Bible Study at the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Center,
located at 2020 Auburn Ave. Sessions are affectionately
referred to by youth as the “20/20 Club.”
Two or three HPCUMC volunteers work together, leading scripture
study and assisting with Bible reading skills. HPCUMC supplies
paperback Bibles which are given as gifts to the incarcerated
youth. Volunteers generally commit one hour monthly or bi-monthly
in the evening. Members who have served include: Elaine
Annan; Peggy Bosse; Dana Connolly; Phil and Martha Crabtree;
Holly Craig; Mark Lackey; Bettye Mistak; Doug Rachford;
Peggy Stroud; Jim Swallen; Shirley Warden; Rev. Dave Weaver;
Larry Yates and Brenda Anthony.
More volunteers are needed. If this sounds like something
you'd like to do, please contact me, George Keil (513) 272-0375
