Habitat for Humanity and HPCUMC (Please Scroll Down Page for Volunteer Form)
Our church has helped sponsor many Habitat houses in the Cincinnati area. Our sponsorship involves a monetary contribution as well as numerous volunteer hours by members and visitors.
Habitat for Humanity empowers low-income families to become homeowners. Partner families invest 500 hours of "sweat equity" in the construction of their new home. In return they receive an interest-free mortgage for the amount of the construction materials alone. This is an excellent way to help provide permanent stable home ownership for those who may otherwise be unable to afford it.
HPCUMC members have contributed countless hours of planning and labor on the houses we have built.HPCUMC has been a financial sponsor on the houses and has been instrumental in encouraging other Hyde Park area churches to participate in Habitat.

Workers from HPCUMC and the other churches in the Shalom VIII coalition will be building more Habitat houses in the Cincinnati area! This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of the fellowship while helping a very worthy family become property owners for the first time.
