“I love the mission of the church, especially its service to the community and broad age ranges of members. We attend the 11:00 AM service because we love the music
and sermons.”

Traditional Worship - Sunday Morning

Medieval melds with modern when Gothic architecture and stained-glass windows provide the venue for innovative worship that translates ageless Gospel messages into lessons for Twenty-First Century life. An esteemed musical program featuring adult, children, youth and bell choirs and one of the region’s largest pipe organs, complements a worship experience highlighted by Senior Pastor Don Dixon’s engaging storytelling.

“The organ is a wind instrument and uses its breath like a human voice to sing…It can whisper a prayer or thunder praise…even shake the ‘foundations of earth’ and give us a glimpse of the Infinite in its ability to sustain sound.”

--Jim Walton

Chancel Organ

Stirrings of the world’s finest symphonies emanate from her pipes and sounds reminiscent of ancient cathedrals are within reach of her keys and foot pedals. Hyde Park Church’s Casavant organ (Opus 3671), designed specifically to harmonize within the acoustical space of the Sanctuary, has been played by some of the world’s and region’s leading virtuosos. Jean-Louis Coignet was the tonal designer; final voicing was carried out by Yves Champagne.

The instrument has been compared to other fine organs build by Casavant, including those in Chicago’s Saint Clement Church and Montreal’s Basilique Notre du-Cap. Opus 3671 has 4,843 pipes.
