Family Ministries

The Young Family Life ministry area of Hyde Park Community UMC provides ministry to families with children of all ages.   We do not necessarily define family, however, as needing 2 parents and children.   We recognize that families come in all shapes and sizes and it is our mission to provide ministries for families of all kinds.   We currently have a growing youth ministry and a broad range of ministries for children. However, we also try to minister to the entire family through a variety of opportunities for parents (not the least of which is providing childcare during most ministry meetings and events).   We like to encourage families to be involved in spiritual growth opportunities both as a family and as individuals and are constantly working to provide time and space for that to happen.
