Junior high and senior high students--church members and non-members alike--are welcome at HPCUMC to hang out, have fun and meet new friends. Our goal is to offer opportunities to learn about God's awesome love and to feel accepted--just as you are.

Christian Education

  Sunday Mornings

  • 7th & 8th grade Sunday School-Rm 208/209
  • 9th-12th grade Sunday School- Room 210

  Confirmation

  • Youth interested in confirmation will explore their beliefs, faith and commitment to God and the church.
  • The confirmation class will meet weekly with lock-ins, retreats. service projects and more.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)

Youth fellowship is open to all 7th-12th graders who are interested in hanging out with Christian friends in a safe, welcoming environment.

  Sunday UMYF Programs--5:30-8:30 PM-Erie Building

  • Sunday evening "Dinners for $2" are followed by age-specific programs that incorporate spiritual growth, teen issues, team building and more.
  • UMYF does not meet regularly during the summer. Contact Dana Calhoun ([email protected]) for a list of monthly outings.

Additional Youth Opportunities

Additional youth activities sponsored by HPCUMC include the following:

   Youth Choir

  • Meets after Sunday School in Rms. 208/209 from 10:30-11:00
  • Contact Dana Calhoun for more information.

   Troop 114 Boy Scouts of America

  • Meets weekly on Mondays from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Youth Ministry/Erie Building.
  • Monthly overnights, week-long summer camp, and an average of five troop community service projects per year.
  • Seeking both boys and adult leaders interested in fun, adventure, leadership, and a rewarding experience.
